Our practice does not process insurance claims. Queens Weight & Wellness is a fee-for-service practice, which means payment is due at the time of service. We accept all major credit/debit cards (including care credit). Why do you recommend medical-grade nutrition supplements when I could get cheaper store-grade over the counter supplements?

Medical grade supplements are recommended as an adjunct to dietary and lifestyle modification as a service to my clients. This approach is central to the well-researched and science-based practice of functional and integrative medicine. Medical-grade supplements are manufactured at the same standards as pharmaceutical drugs. Medical-grade supplements contains a higher concentration and quality to over-the-counter supplements, which is why they may cost more.

Medical-grade supplements have specific guidelines and requirements they must meet. Raw ingredients are tested, toxins are removed, and their bioavailability is vital to be considered medical grade. You are in no way required to use any supplements as part of your treatment plan. Unfortunately, with years of experience reviewing lab work on patients taking a varying quality of supplements available over-the-counter, I can confirm that quality does matter.
